About Me: I create and research emerging technologies and their applications, in order to empower people to understand, transform, connect, and co-evolve. I pursued a PhD and postdoctoral education because I am broadly curious about new uses of different technologies, and deeply passionate about research and development of innovative experiences. My work intersects educational innovation and user-centered design, specifically focusing on AR / VR education, digital fabrication, software / hardware engineering, embodied cognition, child development, co-design and socio-technological evolution. Recently at Harvard University Graduate School of Education, I have been researching AR for collaborative education in maker spaces (part of HGSE Learning, Innovation and Technology Lab), and VR for empathy and bias training (part of HGSE Immersion Lab). I have previously led XR education research initiatives focused on children and education, while collaborating with organizations such as PBS KIDS, MIT, Samsung Research, Qualcomm, and WestEd Research. I love teaching and learning with people, and often serve as participant, mentor or reviewer of conferences and hackathons. |
